On ver 5. Do I need to backup files or do anything special before uninstalling older versions?

What is your older version? What is your new version?
My God I love this community. I post on a Sunday, and get a response on Sunday.
My older versions are 3 and 4, and to be honest with you they were mostly for a learning curve for me. I made some presets I wanted to save.
My latest version is 5

Export and make a backup for everything: [blog] Gig Performer Maintenance: Save, Export, and Backup
Then test your gig files thoroughly on v5.
Once you feel that’s it, you can remove earlier versions.
