Triton vst question

Hi, I’m thinking of springing for the Korg Triton vst plug-in, watching some demos and reviews and it certainly seems to have lots of useful presets for live work. I’m just wondering about the architecture: I see the plug-in comes with Combis as well as individual sounds. Great! Are the Combis presented as presets? So that by selecting that preset, you get the whole split or layer? Just wondering how you’d use the Combis in GP. Thanks!

You can use the combinations like normal programs or presets; the last status of the Triton is called up in GigPerformer. I’ve never had any problems with this. There are some people in the forum who like to use Triton VST often.

Built most of sounds out of Triton VSTs… It’s the same with what we used to have in the hardware… You can edit prog or combi and save them, build new sound from the scratch using INITbank… Its very identical with triton and extreme but i found very little parameters are missing but its alright if you are not doing any deep editing with filters, amp etc… Try the demo first…

Everything is said: It’s the same like the normal triton in Hardware or other VSTs. You can choose presets in Combi or Program. But in GP you didn’t need them, because everything is saved within a Rackspace.

But sometime it can by useful to save it in the triton

If I remember, when I had a hardware Triton Extreme, some of the Combi settings required SysEX. I’m not sure if the same is true for the plugin, however, because I don’t have it.
