I’m in a band playing some Steely Dan, and that horn/synth lead for the song “Peg” was originally played by a Lyricon (breath-controlled early synth). Does anyone have an idea for a believable replacement? Our band instrument-wise tries to play it as close to the original recording as possible, so my attempts to cobble a patch together with a sax, or oboe, or clarinet and a synth have been pretty awful.
