So now Halion 7 has crashed inside GP.
The list of plugins that I have that are stable in GP is getting shorter.

Actually, looking at this crash report, that plugin is going to crash in lots of hosts. In this particular case, GP itself isn’t even doing anything. HALion is breaking via calls coming from the OS (CoreFoundation) triggering a timer callback.
You should report this to Steinberg.
Edit: I see you’re running 14.6.1, the latest version of macOS - probably an incompatibility there.
I’m very glad I’m still running 10.15 (from 2019) - it has been ultra-stable for musical needs.

As it’s a Steinberg app im not surprised. I haven’t had it crash before, but i tend to not have 100% confidence in anything from that company (as much as i love Cubase and Halion).
My MacBook Pro came with Ventura so ive not used anything else. Can’t say ive had any issues other than the recent ones ive posted about (and Cubase, but its like that on my PC as well).
I wasn’t going to say that
I just moved to Dorico from Finale after the announcement that they are sunsetting it.
I can’t get playback to work with Halion, and that is their default. The whole computer crashes and reboots.
I haven’t tried it in GP, nor do I think I am going to.
Must admit ive not had a single issue with Halion since my last post. Think it was just one of those days.
I use it in almost all my racks paces for Piano and Brass.
I hate having to go in and edit it, i think its a horrible UI, but i dont need to do that a lot.
