There was a time when I enjoyed messing with stuff and fixing them. I used multiple platforms (PC BSD, Debian Linux, Arch, Solaris, …) with different desktop environments (KDE, Gnome, LXDE, XFCE … ).
Used beta versions, previews, release candidates.
I don’t enjoy this any more, nor I have that free time available.
Nowadays I want things to just work when I power on my computer. I want to organize my time as efficiently as it could be and to not keep myself busy with fixing issues due to an update.
