Tigger sample and play a note at same time

Can I assign a key to trigger a sample and play a note at the same time? I am using schamass 8xAFP_Soundboard to store the sample. If I click Learn on the trigger to assign the sample, it will cut off the note.
I am trying to trigger a sample and play my A1 note (Orch Hit) at the same time.

Could you use a plugin to pitch the trigger note up or down but still play the original Note for the note itslelf

That was it… I added in Decent Sampler VST and assigned a Midi Transposer (+54 in my case) to trigger the sample.
