have one rig with every defined plugin I would ever want and I modify that one rig saving it over and over as a separate variation. I use GP preset saves for anything such as switching amps or effect settings and I call them up programmatically for each variation.

This is how I use it too! I don’t know if you ever saw or took part when we were working on a bulk text editor for helix preset files, but even when that thing was working the best, its still safer, quicker and less painful for me to just base my presets on a single rackspace and doing captures inside Gig Performer’s setlist mode

How are you doing hands free Song selection?

I use a setlist program on ipad and it sends one midi message to midi designer which in turn sets up a song on Quantiloop, a variation in GP and sets up a patch from a multitude of drum apps related to the specific song. I change the song and everything else aligns. Currently working on on same setup but incorporating Loopy Pro as a substitute sometimes for Quantiloop. Loopy pro can send midi as the song plays for automating things as the song plays.
