The best way to handle and archive "script" files on a mac ?)

Hi, again busy@asking

a computer dumb query:
since i got some script files from members here, posted in my threads,
and since i can´t just load them like a VST,
and since i, since ever had a problem on the mac with text files handling,
have i thought i just ask you Guys

Whats the best way on a mac to archive my script files text ?
i´m total unsavy with any .txt programm, …so here my problem and my query starts:

what programm would i ideally take to archive the .txt files on my mac ?
the rest should be clear, i just create my own folder system etc. etc.
but whats the most handy app for just that task ?

A really simple solution is the built-in TextEdit: https://macreports.com/how-to-create-a-text-txt-file-on-a-mac/

Right, but you can save and load them like… a GPScript… from the script window.

I use Textmate https://macromates.com, but it’s similar to what @simon pointed.
