Synchronized Audio and Midi Mulitrack playback

Hi there,

though I read several posts on this platform I am still struggling with the following issues:

I like to use GP (besides being a host for virtual instruments in future) as a backing track player. In my band we use a separate click track, cue track and backing tracks for our live performance. There are also songs with changing tempo and I like to switch sounds and dmx light with a midi track (including sysex) that have to be played back in sync with the audio tracks. On top, during rehearsal, we sometimes like to start somewhere in the song and playback a certain section in the song.

Here are my questions

  1. I use the standard AFP (Audio File Player) because of the ability of playing back tracks in parallel. Unfortunatly, no midi capabilities in this plugin… How to synchronize it with the MFP (Midi File Player)?

Is it possible for songs with changing tempo to use a tempro track like in Cubase?

I would be very thankful to receive any kind of help. I sample .gig file would be perfect..

Thanks for your support!

No need to synchronize between.
Just enable sync to global play in both players

When you the SAFP you can adjust the tempo, SFAP can follow the tempo.
But the SAFP is not Multi Track enabled.
So you would have to use multiple SAFP for different playback tracks.
