I did not find anything in the System Actions for this but maybe it could be a future enhancement?
I’m looking for a way to send a controller value from my nanoKontrol Studio to Gig Performer 5 to switch to the Wiring view. It would be nice to be able to use a controller to switch from Panels, Edit, Wiring, and Global rackspace.
I’m not sure if anyone else has requested such functionality or if there is currently a way to do this?

Here is a small gig file with a script in the Global rackspace that allows the 3 widgets there to switch between Panels, Wiring, and Setlist view. Feel free to use and change it for your own needs.

I was looking through the GPScript documentation but I could not find anything that would turn on the Edit or Global buttons. I’m not sure what they would be named. Do you know if there are existing functions for these?
There’s a function to show the global rackspace but not one for editing.
@dhj Thanks, I found a thread that pointed me to the keyboard short cuts, Ctrl + E, and others that will work for me. I probably saw those in the user manual when I first started GP. I’ve been able to set up my nanoKONTROL to cover the things I need.
After trying this; I would like to forward a Feature Request to the
Dev’s, to directly “Learn” controller buttons to switch GP mode buttons
(including panel edit) in the “Global Midi” menu under Options.

What is the benefit of this? You’re going to have to use your mouse/trackpad or touch screen to actually do any editing so what is the use case for being able to switch to edit mode from a controller?
Once you’re in Edit mode, how would you be accessing and changing the widgets/panels/values etc? Wouldn’t you need to either use a mouse or touchscreen? I would think that would defeat the purpose of accessing the Edit mode with a controller.

It could help visualise what plugin is playing. Also could help with tracking down something not working from a distance.
Sometimes i forget what plugin is using what mixer channel, and have to switch to Wiring view to see. Obviously this can all be sorted by using the correct Widgets, but I do find I switch back and forth quite a bit sometimes, without actually adjusting anything on screen.
OK point taken!! Actually i had been also using a Streamdeck Mini to
go back and forth between these modes, but I think I’ll go for the
Streamdeck 3 footswitch to replace the SD-Mini…
