Sustain pedal sticks

I am using GP with plugin persist v2 and noticed that sometimes when I switch to a different variation after I press notes in the new variation the sustain pedal is on making notes sound stuck until I press the sustain pedal.
Anyone experienced this before?
Without a sustain pedal plugged in this never happens.
Could that be a problem with my BK5 keyboard somehow sending sustain on messages?
I will try with sustain on a different port to see what’s going on.
Perhaps with a different keyboard.

In a previous post I thought this was stuck notes and I asked how to assign the panic - however this was NOT stuck notes.

You should see that in the global MIDI monitor window

Yes I will check to see what’s being sent and from where.
I am wondering could this be caused by the plugin persist v2 scriplet ?
One of the ccs I assigned to widget is cc64 but that comes from the GP local port - so I was assuming it would not conflict with my sustain from bk5.
Plus if cc64 was the issue - it should happen without any sustain pedal plugged in.
But only happens with sustain pedal plugged in.

what happens when you remove it?

Can’t remove it. As I depend on a modified version of it to smooth switch variations.

Plugin Persist 2 doesn’t act on the CC64, I we don’t know about your modified version.

But @pianopaul is right have a look at your GP Global MIDI Monitor and test without the modified Scriptlet to see if it changes something.

You know how we have to modify the cc? Like 127?
I have many instances so I started at cc33 and went past cc64
So GP local port is sending that control to the scriplet in one of the instances.

Modification is not large. It just ensures it’s fully persisting even if we don’t hold notes. That was just a single missing edge case.
I gave clear explanation first time around but my posts got not only moved but deleted as well.

Sending a CC64 to the GP Local MIDI Port should not be a problem if you don’t use MIDI In Omni ports.

Yes. I do not use Omni ports.

I think I noticed one or two racks that somehow had a pedal action saved in the wrong position (sustain pedal on). Was a while ago. I made sure the pedal action was in the correct position and re-saved the rack, and seemed to fix what ever the issue was.
Maybe try that.
