Stoffel's Home Studio

This pedends on your needs. For me the standard SD is enough.

There are many howto videos on elgato homepage and youtube.

I have seen a lot of videos, but none interacting with GP.

Hi,

I am curious whether streamdeck needs loopmidi to communicate with GP. I have purchased streamdeck make but cannot get it to communicate with GP even with the midi extension installed inside the streamdeck software.

As always you have to connect the stream deck to widges to do something:

  1. run the stream deck app in the background
  2. program your needed actions to the switches
  3. a. kexstrokes:
programmed keystroke commands should work now
    b. midi commands:
in GP stream deck is shown as a midi in. The midi commands need to be programmed to a widge within GP

Hope this helps.

You could maybe take a look at this. I bought it, haven’t played with it yet:

StreamDeck Midi plugin (trevligaspel.se)
https://trevligaspel.se/streamdeck/midi

The StreamDeck Midi plugin is plugin that can interact with any Midi enabled device or Daw using Midi. The plugin is available for both Windows and MacOS.

Midi communication can be performed using Control Change, Program Change, Note On/Off, SysEx, Midi Show Control and Mackie Control messages.

This is the plugin you can load within the Stream Deck app to use midi functions.
