Just recently, a poster uploaded a gigfile showing how to progressively speed up the tempo of a drum vst using a step graph in the midi section. I was using this successfully, then through an unfortunate human error, lost the gig file with the details. Would the original poster please point me to where I can down load a copy. Thanks so much.
Any thoughts on the required posting? I’ve searched all the topics I can find with ”Tempo” in the title, but nothing shows up. Still hoping that the original poster will read and post the solution. Cheers!
Where is that gig file? Who posted it?
I guess if he remembered that he would be able to find it.
I also recall seeing something like that recently, but can’t find it. Or am I imagining things…
Correct, that’s why I’m asking. I think it appeared late January or during Feb. It was cool and quite easy to use. I’m trying to put together a version of The Bird Dance where it gets faster over about 10 or 11 steps. Just can’t remember how to put it together.
I’m still a bit confused. How does the system actions plugin get connected to the rotary widget?
While it’s not a direct response to the question, I thin the best way to deal with variable tempo is to just load a midi file to the midi file player and set it to Song → Global Tempo
I’d like to stick with the system actions setup at this stage. It’s amazing how quickly an old fella like me forgets. Can some one help me set min bpm of 90, and max bpm of 130?
Well, I finally managed it. But it was a bit hit and miss with the settings. I was sending midi from my iPad, and I had to adjust the increment steps to suit. However, it works but I did have to finish with a top speed of 132 bpm instead of 130 as desired. The 127 midi steps were the culprit as I couldn’t figure out how to use decimal percentages. I’d like to know how to make it all work more precisely for next time.
