Question… This is what most of my rackspaces look like… Does anyone have any good or brilliant ideas on how to name your midi-ins, rather than just having them getting a new number for each new instance. The sounds is obviously not an issue, as I will name according to what VST I use, and the patch. But I have several rackspaces, where I have up to 5 midi in’s on my lower keys and maybe 4 on my upper keys… How are the rest of you sorting and keeping track?
You can rename them
Of course I know that already! Was just looking for tips from other users on HOW they rename them, i.e call it “upper keys organ” or “lower keys strings” etc…
Here’s my layout. I always leave the plugin name and write the instrument name next to it. I used to have two blocks for the global rack space, but I’ve reduced that to one since everything goes into the global rack space anyway.
Why do you need all those midi monitors?
Because I have so many different sounds and splits.
I think the question was for @Maxxbom
