Some plugins simply not working

All of the PA plugins are working for me, as well as Eventide and Softube. However, The new UADx and Neural DSP plugins instantiate but I lose sound and the output light (at the bottom of the GP window) does not show output. Even PeonixVerb isn’t working.

Any idea why some plugs just go mute. I can’t find any setting anywhere. As soon as I bypass one of the plugins that’s not working the sound returns.

By the way, this is on a M1 MBP running Monterey and the offending plugins do work in Logic X on the same machine.

From what I understand, Neural plugins are not M1 native. Are you running GP in Rosetta?

GP is running natively and the NDSP plugin is running in Rosetta. Is that the issue?

This is according to the MacOS activity monitor.

*Well, that is to say that the standalone version of NDSP (Imperial Mkii) is running in Rosetta. I don’t know how that works if it’s instantiated within GP. However, no issues with running these plugins in Logic X.

Apple was a bit sneaky around this stuff — they automatically run Intel AU plugins under Rosetta (so that Logic can work) but they didn’t do it for VST plugins.

There is a known problem with some AU plugins where no sound comes out if you’re using 44.1k sample rate and we believe this is fixed for the next release. If you happen to be running at 44.1k, can you try another sample rate?

On the other hand, when one mixes/matches Apple Silicon and Intel, frankly all bets are off — we’re comfortable that GP Native will work fine with Native plugins and GP Intel will work fine with Intel plugins (and although unsupported this seems to work fine under Rosetta) but mix/match - shaky - I certainly wouldn’t want to do a show with that setup

Awesome! It works!!

I switched to 48k and no luck. I figured I would try 96k and voila, awesome tone!

Interface into NDSP Imperial into UADx Plate Reverb.

Thank you so much for the help!!!
