[solved] Arturia CP-70 is crashing

Hi All:

I was given a Novation Launchkey MK2 and here are my issues:

GP, or Mainstage for that matter recognizes the keyboard as “Built in Microphone”. It works, but it will not recognize the keyboard.

Second, when I attempt to change my output device to my Scarlett 2I2 to utilize my studio monitors, GP crashes. Every time.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Happy Holidays,
Ron

I doubt that — but macOS will prompt you for permission for GP to “use” the Microphone, which is basically just to get permission to allow audio input through your audio interface.

MIDI is totally separate. What version of macOS are you running and what version of GP are you running?

  1. Please post the full crash report (compressed as a zip file)
  2. Have you tried doing this with an empty gig file?

@dhj: Running Sequoia 15.1.1 and GP 5.0.2.0. I have not tried it with an empty gig file, but will. Crash report to follow.

Thank You

Just tried to open a new Keyboard gig file from template and GP Crashed. Not sure how to select and zip crash report.

Ron

Did the Mac not pop up a report and ask to send it (to Apple)?

You should be able to access the crash reports through Apple’s Console application

Yes, stepped out for a bit. Will post zipped report in a bit.

Thank You

Two Zip files. One crash occurred when attempting to change output to Scarlett 2I2. The other when trying to open a new keyboard template.

Any advice is appreciated.

Best
Ron

In both of these, the the Arturia CP-70 is crashing everything. What version of that plugin are you running and is there an updated version?

If you’re running the latest version, please report this to Arturia and send them one of the ips files

Uninstalled and reloaded CP-70 and all OK!!!
Thanks You.

What version was crashing and did you update to a newer version that fixed the problem?

Hi:

First, thank you for your advice! I used the Artiria software center which allows for uninstalling plugins individually. Removed the CP-70 then reinstalled it. Works perfectly now.

Right - but the question is whether the version you “reinstalled” was a newer version than before or whether you just reinstalled the identical version.

It should be the newest version. The Arturia Software Center app always installs the latest versions……at least on my computers.

Yes but I don’t know whether the version previously installed was already the latest version and he simply uninstalled/reinstalled it or whether there was actually a newer version available that was NOT installed before
