[Solved] Analog Lab Pro (latest update) issues

I updated Arturia VCollection X yesterday (April 26). Not upgrade to v11 but just update. Now, GP 4.5 (version I use) cannot open Analog lab Pro and any gig files that use it crashes GP on opening. I tried on another PC in my studio, same problem. Individual Arturia VST’s are working OK, problem with Analog lab Pro only. AL Pro also doesn’t load in Cubase Pro 14. Looks like AL Pro cannot function as « a host within a host ». I opened a support ticket with Arturia. Just wanted to let you know about it. Wonder if anyone else have issues with latest AL Pro version.

Are you using the Plugin Alliance version? That version is not supported by Deskew. We stopped working with PA 2 years ago

We’ve tested the Arturia plugins on GP 4.8, GP 5.1 (just released) and even on GP 2 (running on Rosetta on an Apple Silicon M4 machine) and Analog Lab V seems to run just fine.

Again, can’t say what is happening there but certainly it doesn’t sound like a GP issue, as you noted.

Not quite sure what that means

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes I use the PA version. Up to now that was working well for me. May be time to upgrade. However, since I have the same problem with Cubase I will wait for Arturia to come back to me about this issue. Everything was working until yesterday when I updated.

About « a host within a host » I mean that AL Pro works OK as a standalone host for Arturia VST instruments. Those Arturia VST instruments also work flawlessly in GP 4.5 (PA version) as a host when inserted individually. However, the problem appear when I insert Analog Lab Pro in GP.

Same problem with Cubase Pro. So, I suspect that there is an issue with Analog Lab Pro and not GP 4.5 PA edition.

Probably. Make sure you point out that it’s crashing in other hosts, not just GP. They’ll take that into consideration.

LATES UPDATE : I solved my problem doing the following :

Open the arturia management app. On the collection page find the arrow in the lower right to reset your preferences. Reset them. Then redownload the collection. Afterwards rescan them in GP.

That solution was provided by Cory Fisher on the FB Gig Performer Official User Group.

Everything now work as expected in Gig Performer and in Cubase. I will also update my ticket on Arturia support site to let them know.
