Simple MIDI Channel Filtering In GP 5

Greetings,

I thought I had found my answer in the archive but the date is 2019 and the solution doesn’t seem to apply to GP5. I should say I’m brand new to GP but I have been digging for an answer on this before posting.

For my setup I’d like to control GP only on channels 1&2 and my hard synth on channel 3. Or just filter out channel 3. Right now when my patch uses channel three I’m getting the hardware synth and GP. Is there a way to have GP ignore channel three or only respond to selected channels?

do you mean program change messages ??

you can set GP to respond to a specific midi input and channel

Not program change but note on/off etc. I often have my controller split or layered with each controller using a different patch. Usually I keep controller 1 on channel one and Controller 2 on 2. Unless, I’m using the hardware synth then one or both of those go to channel 3.
