Simple Envelope Question re NI Massive and Arturia Pigments

I think this is a softball question for most synth users.

I have some experience using simple (volume) envelopes in vintage softsynths (ASDR).

But on newer synths, with multiple sound generators, I think I am a bit lost if I just want to tweak the overall envelope.

So, I did a bit of research:

With NI Massive, if I wanted to control the “overall” envelope (not dig into each sound generator) I could normally use “Envelope 4” which is (default) routed to the main amplifier?

And with Pigments, to do this, I would control the Output VCA envelope?
