I really don’t understand how Apple releases a brand new OS that has issues like this right from the start.
Consider it karma for all the Mac users making fun of Windows updates doing similar things.
I try to make it a habit not to gloat about someone else’s misery, but in this case it’s tempting
isnt this a case of those 3rd party companies not following the guide lines?
It’s unclear – but one problem is really that Apple just changes stuff too often and it becomes really difficult for other companies to keep up with everything.
You cannot compare to an update as this is a new OS.
Mac releases a ‘new OS’ every year, which we all know is (mostly) a rebranded version of its predecessor with very few new beneficial offerings—especially in the realm of music production.
That to me equates to what Microsoft puts out as their yearly ‘H2’ major updates.
Ok, but there are some updates within that release and this are updates and not a new OS.
Now it is a new OS.
By the way: Apple never takes prisoners …
Meh, I’m not buying it–figuratively or literally.
Seriously though, I do hope that the issues get sorted out soon for the early adopters of Sequoia. I wouldn’t want anyone’s musical livelihood to be interrupted or made more difficult.
