This seems like a single channel strip - not a mixer. What am I missing?
Yes, you are right
each instance is single input/output but you can view them all as a mixer and effectively use them as such but with all the channel strip bells and whistles:
Is it missing a panpot?
I bought this yesterday - for $14, it’s useful enough. I was struggling to figure out how to do Solo but then discovered that holding the SHIFT key down while clicking the M (Mute) button toggles all of them, hence giving you the equivalent of a Solo.
I would have liked it though if you got a single plugin with multiple inputs (like our audio mixer) rather than having to create them all separately. It makes it a little harder to map widgets.
It’s really nice that it displays compression signal strenght on an LED for each signal… works like a nice single window FOH plugin. It is really good sounding and versitle.
It has input limitations and no pan but with a little leg work in the wiring view it’s all doable.
I bought it too. Looks like it could become a useful tool.
Just bought it. Will get to this later today.
Why do companies do this? I don’t want to set up an account to download my purchase. I’ve asked them to send me the file or refund my $.
Fuse audio agreed to delete my account after download. So I did that, downloaded and installed - and it doesn’t work in gig performer. I opened Reaper, added VCS-1 as a FX, registered it, and it worked. I get a failed to initialize in gig performer along with a series of other plug ins. Here’s the error message:
eLicenser POS Error Message
An error has been signaled by the Protected Object Server:
File SYNSCACC.DLL could not be located in the Windows system folders.
I downloaded and installed this - rebooted and rescan plugins that didn’t work - to no avail. Thanks. The VCS-1 works in Reaper.
I’m not quite sure what the make of that error - I didn’t even think that product was using eLicenser.
What version of GP are you running?
I just downloaded the Windows version into my own Windows machine and it installs just fine. Are you sure that you (a) installed the 64-bit version and (b) you set the appropriate search folder in the GP Plugin Manager (i.e, C:\Program Files\Steinberg)
Yeah it seems to works fine on both Windows 10 and 11. Did you have to set the search folder?
It works in Reaper. Does not work in GP. I have set ALL my vsts to a folder on my d: drive called vst64 - All the other plugins work from that folder - but I’ll try copying the dll to the steinber folder.
Works fine with me. I deselected AAX and 32-bit plugins. Installed only 64-bit VST and VST3.
Of course, I double checked that the install location is added as a path in the Plugin Manager.
What version of GP?
That may be - it still doesn’t prove that GP found the 64-bit version.
Same here. Not a use case in the short term, but it might come in handy. The price is really good, I think.
Latest version of GP. I won’t have a chance to get working on this again till Tuesday. Gigs coming up.
