SDK Examples

I’m interested in learning about writing extensions for Gig Performer 4. I have found the SDK, which looks simple enough to get started, but I’m missing working examples that I could use as a starting point and adapt.

Can anyone direct me towards any example extensions using the SDK? If I can collect a couple then that would be great.

Sure

We have some examples designed to be as small as possible:

• GitHub - gigperformer/gp-extension-c: Example extension for Gig Performer, written in C for pure C
• GitHub - gigperformer/gp-extension-cpp: Example extension for Gig Performer, written in C++, IMO the best starting point if you’re not doing anything with a custom GUI
• GitHub - gigperformer/gp-extension-juce-cmake: Example extension for Gig Performer, written in C++ using JUCE and CMake the “modern” way of integrating the JUCE framework
• GitHub - gigperformer/gp-extension-juce-projucer: Example extension for Gig Performer, written in C++ using JUCE and Projucer integrates JUCE in the “classic” way.

And there are also some “real” extensions on GitHub:

Is there an advantage to using the radio button extension over implementing them via script? My script implementation is working but wondering if I should switch to the extension.

No advantage apart from (hopefully) easier to set up for anyone who has not used scripting before, or is not comfortable working with scripts.
