Sampleson Electrix EP

The Electrix EP (Hohner Electra Piano T VST) from Sampleson sounds great! Sits between a Wurli and a Rhodes. Was free, but now $20 due to the huge number of d/l’s and the server cost. Still an excellent deal!

Here’s a sample of a preset used by Led Zeppelin.

The Electric sounds great - for 20 $ it is a bargain!!
But i have a problem with the integration into GP: I cannot get a connection between the GP controls and the plugin controls “VB on/off” - “Intensity” - “Freq” - “Phaser”.

There is a nice Electric Review video that shows the use of a controller (after 4 min …) - o it should be possible.

Within GP i only have the option to assign bypass. No other controls are selectable. Within the VST it is possible to select “midi learn” on the individual control. But i did not find a way to use this and connect the VST control to GP.

thanks for any help …

This is easy.
Create a widget and map it to the Midi In connected to Electric EP
Then in the parameter list choose for example CC70

Then leave the edit mode and in Electric enable Midi learn and just move the widget, done!

WOW less than 1h for a feedback

— thanks for the very very quick feedback —

Thanks !!!

That’s probably why it’s a bargain. Sounds like they didn’t implement the VST host automation protocol.

It can certainly be done using MIDI, as other users noted, but that should be considered “legacy”

Yes @pianopaul had been a little slow lately.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Anyway, welcome to the GP community
