ROLI Seaboard issue?

Greetings!

I have the following rig, based on a MacBook Pro and GP5:

  • Moog Subsequent 37
  • Arturia Keylab 61
  • Arturia Keylab 61 Essential
  • Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave
  • Two StudioLogic pedalboards

Recently, I added a Seaboard to the setup. When I did, I found that (on an intermittent basis) either the Seaboard or the Arturia Essential would stop transmitting. They were still present in the menus and receiving power, but one or the other would not send MIDI information. When the Seaboard is not hooked in, I have no issues.

Does this make sense? Everything is connected through the same USB hub into the computer.

In the GP environment, I have also observed my Seaboard Rise 2 to stop transmitting. Sometimes I can power it off and then back on to restore things without having to take other measures.

I’ve also sometimes observed GP system messages flashing by to the effect that multiple MIDI ports were being disconnected. Is Windows doing this, and GP merely reporting it?

Yes, intermittent. Yes, going thru a USB hub (can’t avoid it). (Powered hub)

GP just works through the APIs provided by the OS
