RME Interfaces - Total Mix Update

Hello, a question for all you RME users.

I read that the latest Total Mix update adds immersive capabilities to the mixer, including crossfeed, taken from RME’s ADI DAC/headphone amp line.
Are there adjustable settings for crossfeed in the new Total Mix version or is this a simple on/off setting?

Thanks!

Here goes:

They only mention 5 strengths of crossfeed, but the ADI boxes offer additional functionality.

Clearly, from their announcements, there are 5 Crossfeed presets available on 3 stereo outputs. That’s it!

What’s very interesting for the latest Audio Interface ( UFX+, UFX II, UFX III, UCX II, 802 FS, HDSPe MADI FX II), is that you can apply directly Sonarworks SoundID calibration/correction profiles into the RME DSP for a seamless hardware correction.

I tried and it is working very well
But only speaker correction profiles are supported

You mean no headphone profile? Curious…

Yes headphone profiles cannot be applied

A reply from a Sonarworks guy to a customer requesting headphone profile for RME:

I don’t understand why the headphone correction is so different…

Did you try the Crossfeed settings for headphones as well?
Do they make discernable differences to the listening experience?

I tested and when playing alone you hear the sound coming more from the front of your head and I like it.
But I am not sure how well that is in a band context playing live.

Thanks!
Time to test it myself. Could become an expensive test…
