Rig manager set up

So confused about rig manager - I just don’t get it sometimes.

My original set up (thanks to DHJ) is my lower keyboard with direct plug in to the MacBook my upper keyboard uses wireless midi (widi) with one channel for my keytar (since changed to channel 2 to leave 1 open for guitarists only option. and another channel ( I believe 5 for my remote 25 key widi (for the guitarists).

I bought KB-1 on my iPad and I have two keys loaded on it. How can I make it recognize the lower key on the iPad with the original direct connect 88 and the upper to be my widibud channel 2 keytar)

nothing works unless its omni in the rack space.Processing: Image 5-18-25 at 12.08 PM.jpeg…

So your iPad is recognized.
How looks your Rig Manager window?

the “iPad with KB-1” is not associated with a MIDI device ?

I cant get the photo to up load

let me write:

Under Midi Device Aliases
(no alias) → local GP Port
Lower–> KL Essential mk MIDI (MISSING)
Widi—> WIDI Bud Pro (MISSING)
Mapped 5

iPad with KB-1—> Jon Weisgal’s bluetooth

omni works no problem - I only have 2 out of 60 songs omni though - kind of defeats the purpose of RM

Please upload a small gig file showing the issue.

Do you include the “iPad with KB-1” in your local rackspace as MIDI In?

no - the current set up is a wired 88 key arturia keylab and the top is widibud channel 2 for the keytar and channel 5 for the 25 remote keyboard

OK, to identify the issue, can you activate the iPad and show how your local rackspace looks like?

Rough - bad area and power is nearly zero with no place to charge I will once they are powered up - thanks!

here are the rackspaces- the midi control and the rig manager as set up

currently Im using the KB-1 and it connect with its output being Jon’s Mac Book pro Bluetooth, but the two virtual keyboards are playing both the upper and lower at the same time regardless of midi channel on each one
