Rig Manager/Kronos/Drawbars (faders)

I’m just starting to delve into rig manager. I have a Nektar P6 and my Kronos 88 that has been my regular gig board. I have some travel gigs coming up and I’m trying to get GP ready for that.

I set up a P6 rig-simple midi control aliases ie. vol pedal/master fader/drawbars. When I try to use the faders on the Kronos that are used for drawbars on there it doesn’t give me controller #/channel #, but rather (bear with my non-tech description) a long string of groups of 2 digits-letters and numbers followed by, Channel 0.
The faders are sending info, but GP doesn’t seem to be able to interpret it as a controller changing function. Am I missing something, or is it just not doable?

cheers

Configure your Kronos to “behave well”!
Say: Set the faders to use a MIDI CC# instead of… whatever it is now.
Maybe this forum’s entry in a Korg related forum might help? (I don’t own that synth, but i have Google  ):

Those are Sysex messages which can currently only be handled by a special gigscript that you would have to create. It’s better to configure the Kronos so that those sliders send out CC messages as suggested by @schamass

Thanks guys! I had no idea the Kronos surface was configurable, had no need to think about it before. I don’t know what this google thing is you speak of, but once I knew what I was trying to achieve it made things easy.

This is a nice tutorial if anyone else needs help configuring:
