Requesting help with Mac crash report

Hi,

Would really appreciate if someone could help me read this crash report - have no idea what I’m looking for!

New to Gig Performer and trying to set up for rehearsals starting on Monday. Had a couple of crashes which are freaking me out a bit. First one was when I loaded a waves sampler which I had no problem finding an alternative for. The most recent crash wasn’t directly after I had loaded anything or even using the program. Was looking at a pdf in the background and it just crashed.

Many thanks for any help!

Did you get a pop up message about the crash? I find the details in these much easier to read, as it clearly identifies which thread crashed, and you can usually see the references to the plugin that caused it.

Would that be the one that asks if you want to ‘reopen’, ‘ignore’ or ‘report’ the crash?

Yep, you can access the details and then copy that into a text document and zip it for upload here.

Thank you - I have done that but can’t upload attachments here as a new user. I’ve just put it on dropbox but let me know if theres a more convenient way.

The IPS is fine. Will look at it when I get to my office

Many thanks

This crash is happening inside the TX16Wx plugin - you might want to reach out to the developer and give them this report.

Thanks so much. I was trying out different samplers inside GP a couple of days ago and this one crashed straight away. I thought I had deleted any sign of it from my computer and it wasn’t running in the gig as far as I’m aware but I’ll have another look.

Thanks a lot for the help, much appreciated

You should report it – that sampler has a good reputation

@kncmps are you on an Apple silicon Mac? Are you on the latest official/beta version?

I had similar problems in the past with one of the previous versions (3.5.xxx). Crashs have been known and since then I’m on 3.6. xxxx (beta) and stable

Just saw that there was an official release on Feb. 28, meanwhile…
