Hello, what is the best way to control a setlist with an iPad?
look at stream deck mobile you can use your Phone or iPad like a stream deck with buttons that control midi into GP. you can use it with a usb cable or wifi, Im looking into using it with my 14” MacBook Pro and GP instead of a foot controller. just an idea. I need to look into it a bit more.
You can do it either wirelessly or with an ethernet cable. I connect my iPad Pro 12” to my Surface Pro 9 using an Ethernet cable with an Ethernet adapter from the iPad into an Ethernet port on my powered hub. I also have a simplified version without a hub that uses an adapter at both ends. I use the OnSong app on the iPad to send midi. I also have Bome Network on the iPad and the Surface Pro 9 so that they can talk to each other. I don’t know if a Mac needs adapters. Both systems work very well for me. The Ethernet cable is faster and is free from interference. Wireless will work ok but may suffer from intererference if you are out in public near routers in shops.
