Hi,
I am looking for some sounds for the base of Lotus by REM . I have always played it with the Arturia Stage73 plugin , but I actually found out that originally I think a Wurlitz was used . In the original song there are at least two levels , the second sound I can not understand , it sounds like an organ . Maybe it has become an obsession . If anyone has any advice for me , if you have played this song before , it would make me very happy .
Yes it is a Whurlitzer with tons of compression.
Then at about 1 minute it sounds like a Farfisa Organ.
At 1.30 it sounds like a Hammond
At the beginning there is also a Synth Effects sounds, cannot really identify.
Great ! I had thought there was also a Farfisa I saw some videos of live concerts from '99 and at this point it might just be that keyboard . Hammond is also a confirmation , I currently have a part where there is a Stage 73 that will have to be replaced with a Whurlitzer , and another part with B-3 Vst . Thank you a lot !
Have you tried separating the original recording into stems to better isolate the keyboard sounds for analysis?

Yes, I did, the Wurlitzer sounds good, I also analyzed the frequency and harmonics and it is pretty close to the original. I have tons of Vst but sometimes experience makes the difference and I am learning step by step and this forum is a great resource! Thank you for your support:+1:
Is there a tool available to do that?
On Windows, the free audio editor “Audacity” is able to do it with an additional AI plugin… i tried it once with good results.
(there is a Mac version, as well )
Another free and cross-platform is Ultimate Vocal Remover 5.
Despite the name, it is also capable of isolating stems.
For those who pay close attention to audio separation technology, UVR5 is known as a very powerful AI stem splitter and vocal remover.
Not only can you select between algorithms, you can even use an “Ensemble” mode that uses multiple algorithms simultaneously to give you the instrument-specific benefits of each.
