Radial USB DI Box

Anyone tried one of these?

I’m currently using a Behringer X18R as my interface, looking for something smaller or use for a backup.

Hi @Dgrimm, welcome to the family :wink:

Hi @Dgrimm and welcome aboard! :beers:

I am not entirely sure if this device will be the very best choice for live playing… in my opinion it is rather designed for playback (but i may be wrong though).
What i personally can recommend is this little box:

It’s the audio interface which i use myself and it’s working flawlessly so far.
It is small, it is a lightweight, it has quite good latency values, it has symmetrical outs (TRS) and it’s only a third of the price of the Radial box.

There also was a discussion in the past where the Radial USB-Pro was also involved:
Latency - to old, to much or wrong equipment? - Gig Performer on Mac OS X - Gig Performer Community
Maybe @SirTommes can tell you some more about it… :slight_smile:

@Dgrimm,

I’ve had good luck with a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB on both Windows and MacOs. I do keep 2 XR18s but don’t carry the second one to shows. In a pinch, if I need a backup, I would use the audio interface built into my upper keyboard, a Roland FA-07.

My XR18 has just been so solid though, I haven’t really needed a backup.

My latency problem has been solved with my MacBookPro M1. It wasn’t the Radial Key Largo and not the Korg Kronos Audio. It works fine so far - at home and in rehearsal.
