Weather I duplicate a rackspace or add a new one there is only “-” next to it and no number. Any ideas what might be causing it and how to solve it?
That happens when you’ve assigned a PC number to a variation and then you duplicate the rackspace that its in. Since you can’t share PC numbers between variations, the duplicate isn’t given any number at all-- hence the ‘-’. Simply open up the duplicate and assign it its own PC number.
Thanks a lot.I actually thought that might be the reason , as it happened after started mapping things in TOSC . How do I assign pc numbers to rackspaces?
You assign PC numbers to variations, not rackspaces.
See here: [blog] Program Change Management
I’m not using any variations ,though.
You’re always using a variation within a rackspace, even if there is only one.
This one is called ‘Default’.
My bad. Thanks for the explenation. So I change the PC number in the variation then?
That’s right.
