Question Syncing the New Streaming Player with the Legacy Audio File Player

I will try to summarize my situation. My current Gig files all use the legacy file player because I run up to 8 stems per song and those stems are assigned to multiple outputs which makes the FOH very happy as well as the band. Why multiple stems with outputs? When one or multiple musicians are unable to show up, I simply replace them that week with a stem so the show goes on.

I absolutely love the timeline actions you can do with the new streaming player but being able to only play one track at a time is a bummer. However, what if I were to bounce my click (metronome) and song cues together into one track for the new streaming player to use? And from there, place the streaming player in the Global Rack space so I can program the timeline actions.

If I sync the streaming player to Gig Performer’s playhead along with syncing the legacy audio player to Gig Performer’s playhead, do you think that will work? That way I can continue using multiple tracks per song from one file player which are already assigned to multiple outputs on my audio interface but also take advantage of the new timeline actions with the new streaming audio file player. If that would work, do you think the legacy audio file player would also follow the new player if I were to loop a section with the new player?

I hope all this makes sense. All this would be simplified if the streaming player could stream multiple lanes with the ability to assign those lanes to multiple outputs. If the above idea does not work, I also realize that I could potentially create 8 instances of the new player and sync them all together. I just fear the more “moving parts” you have, the easier it is for something to fail. Thanks for your time and look forward to hearing your responses.

PS…I absolutely love Gig Performer and the multiple actions I can do with the new streaming audio file are amazing! Thanks for all your hard work creating this software!!

I would also need this, but Rome wasn’t built in a day  In the meantime, you found a good alternative solution :+1:
