Program changes to YC73 from forScore

Hi! I have a setup consisting of forScore, Gig Performer 4 (Mac), and a Yamaha YC73.

Using MIDI buttons in forScore, I can change Variations and Rackspaces without any problems. I have also programmed the YC73 to change them, and everything works perfectly.

However, I’m trying to make it so that when I change Variations/Rackspaces from forScore, the corresponding program on the YC73 changes as well. This way, I can switch either from forScore or from the YC73, and everything stays synchronized.

But it seems impossible: either the system freezes, or the MIDI message simply doesn’t get through. I managed to do this successfully in MainStage.

In Gig Performer, I’ve tried using knobs assigned to PC, MSB, and LSB. I’ve also tried sending a double message from forScore, but nothing seems to work.

Could anyone help me figure this out?

Thank you! For any reason (sure it´s me) nothing is working. Seems like I´ll use only YC for switching sounds in GP.

Are you using MIDI OMNI blocks anywhere?

That is most likely why you are getting feedback. If you are sending events to virtual MIDI ports or to the GP Local port, then those will be automatically received by an OMNI port and come right back in

I´ve replaced the OMNI blocks for Midi In YC blocks. In setlist mode, I´ve programmed program changes to the YC, which seems to work, but there is a midi loop as soon as I write the Action…I´m about to give up…
