Problems with GP Gig files on other PC

Hello everyone,

I exported the Gigfiles I created on my studio PC for a musical production to my laptop. I can load the files directly from GP without any problems. However, when I double-click on the Gigfiles desktop icon to load the respective act, the laptop tries to reinstall GP and displays the message: “Please wait while Windows configures Gig Performer 5."

I have now opened the two Gigfiles from GP5 and saved them again on the desktop, but even then the error message appears when I double-click.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

I’m not a Windows expert but it sounds like something went wrong with your GP installation process (maybe due to an AV process on your machine?) and the registry did not get properly updated. Try completely uninstalling GP and then reinstall it again
