Problems moving to a new Mac Mini M4

So, I just bought a brand new Mac Mini M4 and restored my full backup (created using time machine on my Mackbook pro Intel i7).

I had to enter my GP5 licence data again.

Loaded my current gigfile and at least two pluggins are not working:
KONTAKT and OMNISPHERE

They both show up on my plugins list, but when I select the vst3 version, nothing happens. Only the AU pluggins open and seams to be ok.

Why is this happening? I would like to use the vst3 variants, so that I can use my gigfile, if needed, on a windows machine.

Any tips?

Maybe installing the missing plugins (kontakt, omnisphere) from scratch?

GP asking for activation seems logical to me: it’s not the same system. If you’re not going to use GP on your old system, then don’t forget to deactivate GP: that way you regain an activation.

This is a mistake. You do not want to be loading Intel versions of plugins when you run Apple Silicon (even with Rosetta nit withstanding). The reason your Intel AUs are working is because Apple automatically runs Intel AUs under Rosetta.

Yiu should explicitly install Native or a universal version of each plugin you want to use

NO! I installed the OSX version of omnisphere and only the AU version works. The vst3 shows in the list but if I select it nothing happens.

I dont know if there is any specific omnisphere version for apple silicon systems

Update: I went to spectrasonics website. It seems like there are some steps I have to take first. Will try it.

Sigh……these days (and for several years now) there have been “universal” versions of most modern plugins, designed to run on both platforms.

By the way, you did install the Universal version of Gig Performer, right?

Yes!
I mean, I didn’t install it again since it was restored from my previous backup.
Is there any way I can check what version am I using?

Why don’t you just download the universal version of GP from our website

I think te univesal version is the one I am using since allways. Will it make any difference if I install it over the current installation?
