Presonus 1824c: Driver not showing up in GP5 (windows)

Both Windows (10) Sound Setting and Protools do recognize the Presonus 1824c; but, GP5 (windows) does not.

Just updated to the latest 1824c Driver, no change in GP5.

Can you post the screenshots of those windows (both ProTools and Windows Sounds)?

@Dadi
Do you have any ideas?

I assume that you’re referring to the latest v5 version of Universal Control. I have the smaller 1810c which I loved, but stopped using, because the ASIO driver that gets installed along with U.C. was not multi-client.

When you try to configure the audio in GP, to you have ProTools or another app that uses ASIO open? If so, if you close those apps, does GP then find your 1824c ASIO driver?

Okay here was the crazy conflict: Windows, Protools, Reaper shows the Presonus driver selectable as “1824c”, which makes sense since that’s the interface that I’m using. But, GP shows the driver selectable as “Studio USB ASIO Driver”, which seems confusing to me. I was expecting to see “1824c” But, now that I’ve figure it out, systems work well now. Rock ON!

Glad you got it straightened out. Note: that’s actually the name of the driver. My Studio 1810c uses the same driver as your Studio 1824c. The Universal Control installer defaults to installing all drivers. Not a problem, just a waste of space. You have to go through the long list and manually untick each little check box except the one for the driver for the interface you own (the Studio USB ASIO driver in our case). A real PITA.
