Plugin questions - Arp Pro Soloist and Arturia

I’m using GP 4 on a Mac mini, controlled by two M-Audio keyboards (88 weighted, 61 Pro) and a Vortex Wireless 2 keytar. Got a consistent couple of problems, hoping someone here can shed some light …

  1. No matter what I try I cannot get GP4 to load my Arp Pro Soloist VST. I found the 2.04 version, won’t load (whether I use 32Lives or not). Tried an earlier version, same issue. Has anyone here gotten the thing to load and work reliably? How? (We really want to add In The Cage and it just doesn’t sound right without that Fuzz Guitar 2. )

  2. The Mac is not connected to the Internet and won’t ever be. It does one thing: Runs my VSTs. I purchased the Floyd Tribute pack from Arturia, downloaded and installed, and nada. Are the preset files buried somewhere and I just can’t find 'em? Input from anyone using the Arturia stuff without active network connection would be appreciated.

For the record, I’m not running anything illegal … I just don’t want the Mac hindered in its audio and MIDI duties by outside connections.

Thanks for any useful input!

As far as i can see, this is onlly 32 and won’t run on GP - you’d need a 64bit version.
Maybe you are lucky with using one of those VST-Bridges, maybe not… no guarantee that this might work (reliably).

Yes, that plugin is 32-bit only. As for 32Lives, that worked quite well when Apple allowed 32-bit apps to run. What version of macOS are you running?

I assume then that you’re not running the Deskew version of GP as that version requires internet connection to activate. What exact version of GP are you running?

What does nada mean? What did you actually do? How did you download them if your Mac is not ever connected to the internet? Also, those presets are loaded into Arturia plugins - I’ve used them myself with Arturia Lab V, they work just fine. Nothing to do with GP

Running MacOS 10.14.x, as it’s the last version that DID permit 32-bit plugins.

Running GP 4.1.5. Activated before I took it offline.

Nada means the presets do not show up in Lab V. How I got them was to download them to a PC that IS connected, moved them over via USB drive, followed offline activation procedure as received from Arturia.

It’s not a question of the OS, it is the host that has to support 32bit plugins, and Gig Performer just doesn’t… never did! BTW, you are running a very old version of GP… there is a V4.5.8 waiting in the download area for everyone who has a valid license. Plenty of new features, bug fixes and eyecandy if one comes from 4.1

Ok but that’s something you need to ask Arturia about. It has nothing to do with Gig Performer
