Most of my plug-ins seem to open in a window that shows the entire front panel, but Reaktor loading the Spark ensemble has both horizontal and vertical scroll bars. Is this expected?
Plugins do whatever they want to do, we have no control of the plugin editor window. We just enclose it in another window that has our controls (bypass, presets) on the top
Hi David,
Interesting… Cantabile renders the window correctly. Forte typically would render the whole window without scrollbars as I recall, though testing now it is acting funny–it sizes the window to fit without the left sidebar even though that always comes up on open. For the last couple of years I had to run Reaktor outside of Forte and pipe MIDI to it, then receive the audio back to mix in the rack due to stability problems with it in Forte. NI has had a lot of trouble with window sizing over the years in my experience, but it would be nice to not have to scroll around.
Thanks for the quick, straightforward response. It counts for a lot when deciding what host to invest the time into.
Andy
I just installed Reaktor 6 on the system I’m using to test at home (not my regular rig). The plug-in window renders correctly.
