Performing over Zoom

Thanks for sharing this on the forum, @npudar, I had not seen this video by Bent before. @BPontecorvo, I do not teach piano via Zoom; however, I am often requested to perform over Zoom for worldwide prayer circles. Would you mind sharing your best practices for connecting Gig Performer to Zoom? For whatever reason, my sound never sounds great on Zoom. Thanks in advance – I must have watched hours of your Gig Performer videos, and deeply appreciate your work, @BPontecorvo, as well as everyone here on the former and everyone one at GP!

Edit: @npudar, please feel free to start a new thread, as I did not mean to highjack this thread regarding Gig Performer and Zoom.

That’s because it is a new video!

Are you on Windows or macOS?

Hi @npudar, I’m on Windows 10. When I perform over Zoom, I’m using either vMIX or OBS Studio to connect to Zoom.

Well, OBS has the ASIO add-on, I’m not aware that Zoom has one.

Some things worth trying:

  • Windows Audio
  • JACK
  • Try another (more appropriate) platform, such as Jamulus.
