Hi,
I bought Bluecat Patchwork as I had problems with Mixed in Key being a bit unstable.
Since then I’ve simplified my guitar racks by putting them in with Pulsar Audio Echorec.
It seems to work fine, but now and then the positive grid presets seem to jump to a random preset, There’s nothing set to change presets, anyone else has seen this or knows what is happening.
A side effect of this is that the loading times have increased massively.
Does anyone know if the vst instances in Bluecat are shared or is there a new copy of Bluecat with its vst’s being loaded every time, in which case it would be better for me to take them back out of Bluecat patchworks and put them directly in the Rackspace.
Any help is gratefully received.
Damian
Patchwork puts its own wrapper around plugins — no idea what it’s doing — presumably it also has to proxy the parameters of each plugin. GP can only see the single plugin (Patchwork) so if plugins inside it are changing presets, you’d have to talk to Bluecat. Maybe you’re sending MIDI messages into Bluecat that are being routed to Positive Grid
There is no midi connection, think it would be Positive grid if anything guitar rig is solid and pulsar echorec. Pgrid connects to the internet every time I open the patch and, if there’s none there it just hangs and eventually times out, not good for live.
Wow….have you reported that to the developer? I wonder if that is part of their license checking or whether it’s just checking from updates and hanging while waiting for a response.
What happens if you disconnect your machine from the network completely?
