Ok, I haven’t been here in a while but I have a show coming up the end of June, using GP but have a problem (David, feel free to chime in).
Does anyone know how to access past Gig Files that have been created?
I had specific Shows on an SSD that now is not accessible.
The SSD was a new one that I put my most current projects on in the past 6 years. (I will make a post later about the pitfalls of SSD’s)
When GP is first opened there is a list of past gig files that pop up at startup but it only goes back to a limited amount and time. The show Gig Files I am trying to access was built last year, June 2025. I have a rehearsal this Sunday and I am trying not to have to start building the GP files again for the show from scratch. Any help is much appreciated. Bob Luna
For a completely free and open-source macOS SSD recovery tool, TestDisk or PhotoRec are excellent. For user-friendly freemium tools with free trial recovery limits, consider Disk Drill, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard, or DMDE.
Well, this is not specific to gig files, obviously. If your SSD is corrupted, then unfortunately, your only choice is to try one of the tools that @npudar mentioned. One that he didn’t mention is Disk Warrior which I have used with some success in the past (with hard drives) but I don’t know how well it would work with SSDs
