Panic button on Kontakt

Hi everybody
How to activate the kontakt “panic” button from the front panel ?
Or another way to stop a sample launched in “one shot” mode ?

Thanks

Does Kontakt have such a button?
Did you try to enable Host Automation for that?

You could also try this:
Create a Button, map it to the Midi In where Kontakt is connected and assign CC123.
Play your one shot sample and press the button.
Maybe this helps.

Thanks for your reply
But it does not work. Nothing happens when I activate the button.

Please upload the gig or rackspace, I can take a look at it.

High hopes.rackspace (72.1 KB)

Here is the rackspace
Thanks

I do not see the Button which is mapped to CC123

In the meantime I found a trick in Kontakt
If you want a trick to mute a oneshot sample you can do this:

  • Record or import a sample with no sound (silence)
  • Put it in the same group of your long oneshot sample
  • Put both in the same choke group
  • When you want the oneshot sample to stop just hit the “silent” pad

High hopes.rackspace (73.0 KB)

It didn’t work, so I removed it
Here is the version with the button

OK, seems CC 123 is only All Notes Off, so this does not help.
Then you only can do this in Kontakt:

Record or import a sample with no sound (silence)
Put it in the same group of your long oneshot sample
Put both in the same choke group
When you want the oneshot sample to stop just hit the “silent” pad

or

You can use any sample. Just turn down its level to -INF dB.

Finally, I found it simpler:
The sample (s) last the entire length of the song and I only run it once at the start.
So, I passed all the ample in “until release” and I assigned my button to the note of my midi controler.
I click once to launch and if I click again, the samples stop.

Thanks again for looking with me

Is this High hopes from Pink Floyd?

Yess ! :grinning:

I am playing in a tribute band.

Ohhh yes ! me too : Pink Floyd tribute. I don’t have a video yet.
Are you keyboarder ?

Yes, I am.
What’s the name of your band?

Back to Floyd

And for High Hopes, I made a backing track with violins, horns, bell, choir, etc in Cubase. and I exported the tracks in waves. I made them into kontakt instruments and into GP.
Live, I only play the piano

I would do the same

Yes, the result is great

Where are you from?
