I’m keen to replace my aging Kronos 2 with GP5, but want to see if my brain can handle the re-building of hundreds of crafted sounds that I’ve accumuated over the years, not to mention the culture shift to this new world.
Before investing in the laptop/miniPC I guess I am going to need, will an aging HP14 bs059sa laptop (4Gb DDR3L, 256 Gb SSD, Pentium N3710 1.6GHz, 4 core) cope with GP5 + something like Arturia V-Collection X, or am I wasting my time? I’d go through the excellent Optimize Guide as well.
With 4GB and 1.6GHz? You are!

Well, take that with a grain of salt. They are right as far as CPU speed is concerned, but 4GB is absurd. Heck, the OS will use up almost half of that.
You might get away with it all you are doing is running ONE Arturia plugin standalone.
