No MIDI Latency with Sonuus G2M V3?

So in short my question is how much the buffer settings affect the latency you perceive while playing live. Let me explain:
During the last weeks I have used a second instance of GP with very low buffer settings two play MIDI Instruments with the Sonuus G2M V3 Guitar to MIDI Converter which works very good. I am not a virtuoso player. So let’s take for example the intro of On the Loose from Saga which has two arpeggiated chords. Yesterday I tried to play this again with the Sonuus and the very nice Korg Triton VST as instrument, but only using one instance of Gig Performer with my standard buffer settings which are very high, because I use a lot of VSTs. So like 1504 samples = 34,1 ms. The funny thing is that I didn’t feel any difference in terms of latency. Is this possible?

No way, 34,1 ms you should notice.
But it depends on the sound, with a Piano you will “feel” and hear it.
with a slow attach string sound maybe not.

No, it’s not possible. With 34ms you can move a mouse pointer without noticing that you have delay, but as @pianopaul mentioned you cannot play a percussive sound or a piano sound without noticing… If you are a keyboardist, of course…

Thank you for your feedback David-san and pianopaul. I will test this again and report. It is just that in my music room in the moment are temperatures like in a sauna :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
