Hi- I’m just getting back into GP because I am starting to gig again. I have GP 4.5.8 running on 2020 MacPro laptop. I have a new setlist called Chattaway created and I’m adding songs. I added my first song (3 Little Birds) with no problem. I created a new rackspace called Girl from the North Country. It shows up in All Songs and shows up in the Rackspace Selection window when I’m on the Setlists page. However, when I try to add it to the Chattaway setlist, it does not show up in the in the Add Song to Setlist window. I’m used to GP 3 so maybe I’m missing something. I used the same procedure to add the first song, so I’m assuming it would work the same way with the newly created backspace called Girl from the North Country.
I am including some screenshots of what I see.
I have closed GP and reopened but no change.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Jack
You are working in the active setlist “Chattaway” where the song “3 little birds” already exists, so you won’t be shown this twice in that moment.
You could try to set the setlist selector to “All Songs”, i guess this would bring up your whole collection then.
Or if you’d create another setlist with another name i.e. “Chattaway 2”
EDIT: Not useful… completely missed the aim of the question. Sorry.
Are you sure you created a “song” for Girl From the North Country?
Creating a rackspace with that name does not create a song (the song and song parts are linked to the rackspaces you select).
If you did create a song, you should see it if you use the command to “add song to setlist” (I think).
If you search “north” it should come up. Then double click and it should be added to the Chattaway setlist.
Hope this helps…
Jeff
PS: I have also made the mistake of looking for a song in “find” in setlist, when it was not yet in the set list. You have to find a song that is not yet in the setlist by using the “add song to setlist” command.
