Yes this is interesting, TH-U and S-Gear are both looking comparable or better in some ways, I’ll see if I can get demos and try them out but maybe I’ll just persist with Amplitube as I’ve invested in it and make the best of it with MIDI and changing my workflow.
TH-U has been great for me as well. Much lower CPU usage and the sounds are amazing

I gave this a try, I don’t know if it’s me or the amp sim, but I can’t get it to sound clear, all tones sound slightly muddy, but maybe it’s just the sim. Compared to the sound from Amplitube, it’s not close. Plus TH-U has a good signal chain layout and options in that respect, but it’s still not as easy as AT5.
I’m still leaning towards sticking with AT5, not least because I’ve bought it, but also because it does sound really good.
