New plugin question

I just purchased Ultra analog VA-2 by Acoustic Acoustic Systems. I created a default rackspace and connected it to my Akai MPK49 controller. Without even adding widgets to control pitch bend, sustain and modulation, the plugin is already responding to these CC’s. Do I stiill need to create widgets?

No, as this is a standard in most plugins,
You would need widgets when for example the modulation should be automatically be on when you switch a variation.
Or when you want start modulation when you press for example your sustain pedal.
