New Pedalboard for Guitar and Vocals

Hi all,

as a big Fan of Gigperformer in context of keyboards and synths I decided to switch from my hybrid guitar pedalboard and HW vocal processor to a combined software based Setup.

Based is the pedalboard on this configuration:

  • Geekom A6 mit AMD Ryzen 7 6800h
  • Gigperformer 5 mit Tonex, Guitarrig, Waves Plugins
  • M-Audio MTrack Duo HD
  • Wireless receiver for guitar and vicals
  • Paintaudio Midi Captain wirh Expression by Hotone Ampero Press 2 zur Kontrolle
  • 10zoll Touchdisplay

I run 2 seperated instances, one for guitar, one for vocals controlled thru osc.

Plugins mainly used:

  • ToneX Ampsims
  • BrainworX Apmsims
  • Guitarrig for FX
  • Waves Plugins for vocalchain
  • Twonotes Genome for DynIR Cabinetsim

Round Trip latency at 128 buffersize ist at around 10ms, what ist complete acceptable for me to play and sing.

Any comments, optimisations are absolutely Welcome

Regards
Martin

Are you using one of those hand-held turn-the-dial-to-your-letter and squeeze the handle label makers that create the raised lettering on semi-rigid label tape?

I haven’t seen one of those things in years.

Hahaha, yeah I really do. I Like them more than just tape. Gives em a little bit of retro style.

This is pretty cool! Since you’re using this for processing both guitar and vocals. I have a suggestion for adding one more plugin to spice things up. You can use a vocoder as a means to create talkbox effects. Simply route the end of the guitar signal chain into the vocoder as the carrier and route your vocals to the vocoder as the modulator. I’ve done this several times in the past for songs that would benefit from it. You should see some of the looks I’ve gotten from people when I’ve used this approach for the opening of “Sweet Emotion” by Aerosmith. They keep looking for the tube…

Yes my wife uses it to label where I have to put my socks and all.

It’s really great.
