As the title says: Cherry Audio released an ARP Odyssey clone plugin - the ODC 2800
I tried it, loved what i saw and heard and then i bought it.
A lot of fat vintage oriented sounds… i think they will fit nicely into any 80s / 90s music style.
I also spend the extra 10 bucks for the available preset pack which contains yet another bunch of cool sounds.
From my side: Highly recommended!
BTW, the CPU load is ranging in the middle field… most of the sounds caused GP’s CPU meter to go to ~20% on my machine.

I always thought of an Odyssey as a 2600 without the flexibility of patch cords. Does it offer things that you can’t get with the 2600?
I don’t actually know, but you could download the demo version (with pink noise from time to time) and try yourself what it does and what not…
From what I understand, the Odyssey adds Oscillator sync and for me, it gives just enough structure/limitations to actually use it in a productive way. Cherry Audio does a great job adding useful features to all their synth emulations that can make up for some limitations in the original hardware without changing the synth too much.
I believe they added an LFO and it also allows you to switch the filter to emulate the 3 different revisions used in the hardware over time. And as with all of their mono synth emulations, they offer 16 voice poly as an option.
There are some added modulation options to the VST version as well which help bridge the gap to the 2600 style of wiring
